- Turn-key base contract with POSCO Engineering for the 2nd plant II line expansion project 

- Construction of 60,000MT/yr EPDM Plant, aimed at beginning commercial production in August 2015

Kumhopolychem; No.1 high performance EPDM manufacturer in ASIA, signed a contract with POSCO Engineering to proceed additional 60,000MT/yr EPDM expansion project of the 2nd plant in Yeosu National Industrial Complex on June 26, 2013. The expanded production line will start its commercial operation in August, 2015

EPDM market has been expected to consistently grow in the long view especially in Asia including China and India. Thus, Kumhopolychem decided additional expansion of its 2nd plant applying its own technology; Ultra-low temperature polymerization technology.

This project will be done its 2nd plant site and POSCO Engineering will fulfill the project according to a turn-key base contract that includes engineering, procurement, construction, and support for a trial run. Kumhopolychem will have had 250,000MT/yr EPDM production capacity through the completion of this project. With this expansion, Kumhopolychem will be the worldwide top 3 EPDM maker and solidify its position as a EPDM market leader and market power.
